April 18                Sunday                                 Fun ride,

                We are taking a casual ride through the area.  We will be meeting at Cabela’s By Legends.  We will meet at 12:30.   We will tour out past Lawrence and around the Clinton and Perry lake area.  This should be about a 125 mile ride.  Eat before we start.  I will be sending out a map of the route a few days before the ride.

May 2                    Sunday                                 Bikers with Mission

                This is a charity ride for the City Union Mission.   There is a $20 registration fee.  The ride information can be found at  www.bikerswithamission.org.    If you are interested in riding, please let me know and I will get all of those that respond together.  Registration is from 9:00 to 12:00.  This is a 100 mile ride starting at the City Mission downtown and heading into Kansas.   Lunch is provided.   It is best to start out early to beat the crowds.

May 15                 Sunday                                 Rossville Manor Ride

                This is a revisit of a ride we took 2 years ago.  I have contacted the nursing home and Kerry is still a resident there.  We are to arrive at the nursing home at 1:30.  This was a very moving experience the last time and we would like to have as many as possible to attend.  We could provide rides for other residents.

May 31                 Monday                               Memorial Day Ride

                We plan to attend the service at the Leavenworth VA cemetery.  We will be meeting up with the ABATE chapter to ride in for the service.  We need to be in and parked by about 7:45.   The ceremony starts at 9:00.   We have reserved parking for the bikes and trikes.  Afterwards we will go to the domiciliary to help with serving the VETS a hot dog and hamburger lunch.

June 5                   Saturday                              Shawnee Days Parade

                                Parade starts at 10:00 am.   We received an award last year.   Let me know of those that plan to attend.

                This is the annual picnic, it is being held in Ottawa this year.  We could do the parade and then travel to the picnic.
